They’ll look at your website, read your reviews, check what properties you’ve sold recently, and try to get a sense of who you are and whether you can be trusted with the most significant financial transaction of their lives.

What your website needs to establish

Local expertise, visibly demonstrated. Not “we know the local market” — that’s what everyone says. Each page covering recent sold prices, local amenities, your experience in that area, and a link to current listings. These pages rank for area-specific searches and demonstrate local knowledge.

Reviews and case studies. Client testimonials from vendors who’ve sold with you. Specific details — the area, the type of property, how long it took, any challenges overcome — are far more convincing than generic praise.

Set your primary category to “Real Estate Agency”. Complete the Services section with both sales and lettings if applicable.

The map pack matters for estate agents — particularly for searches like “estate agent near me” and “[town] estate agents.” Consistent reviews (especially from vendors who’ve sold, not just buyers who’ve purchased) and regular posting keep your profile active and competitive.
