Google uses mobile page speed as a ranking signal. Every site is tested against our performance targets before launch — typically 90+ on mobile and 95+ on desktop. Not after optimisation. By default, because the architecture produces speed from the ground up.

LocalBusiness schema markup tells Google — and AI search tools — exactly what your business is, where it is, and what it does, in machine-readable format. This is included as standard in every build. Most site builders do not include it at all.

Discovery brief
We send you a short questionnaire — 10 questions covering your services, areas you cover, competitors you respect, and any design preferences. Takes around 20 minutes. This is the main input we need from you.
We build everything
Design, copy, images, local SEO setup, Google Business Profile. You receive an update at day 3 (build commenced), day 10 (preview link), and day 14 (completed site). You do not need to chase — updates arrive unprompted.
You review — one structured round
We share the completed site. You review it and send feedback. One round of revisions is included: text changes, image swaps, minor layout adjustments. Structural changes beyond this are quoted separately before we do any work.
Launch and full handover
Site goes live. We submit to Google Search Console, verify your Google Business Profile, and transfer all credentials: domain access, hosting login, Analytics access, GBP ownership. Everything is in your name from this point.

Do I own my website?
Yes — completely. On receipt of final payment, full ownership of all code, design files, written content, and digital assets transfers to you. The domain is registered in your name. The hosting account is in your name. The Google Business Profile is in your name. mybitness retains no claim over any element of the delivered site. You can take it to any developer or host anywhere with no restriction.
What if I want more than six pages?
Additional pages beyond the standard six are available at £75 per page, agreed before the project begins. If you are unsure how many pages you need, we will advise during the discovery brief — most local service businesses need five to seven pages to compete effectively.
What if I want to change something mid-build?
Minor additions — a service you forgot to mention, updated logo, small copy change — are absorbed where possible. Significant changes that affect the build scope are quoted separately before we proceed. You will always know the cost before we do any additional work.
What happens if I cancel the Growth & Care Plan?
The plan runs on a 12-month minimum term — £948 across the first year — after which you can cancel with 30 days' written notice. We ask for the minimum term because the server provisioning and initial growth work are front-loaded into the first few months. On cancellation, all hosting files and full DNS control are transferred to your preferred provider within five working days at no charge. You keep the site. You keep everything. Nothing is withheld or deleted.
Are there any ongoing monthly fees?
The £799.99 covers the complete build and launch, and there is no VAT to add — mybitness is not VAT registered. Hosting, security and ongoing growth services are a separate optional plan at £79/month with a 12-month minimum term. You are not required to take it: you can host the site yourself or with any provider you like, and you own it outright either way. Self-hosting a static site of this kind typically costs £0–£10/month.
Is the work done in-house or outsourced?
All work is done in-house by Paul. There is one person responsible for your project from first contact to launch — no handovers, no subcontractors, no offshore outsourcing. The person who quotes the work is the person who builds it.
Why does mybitness charge £799.99 when agencies charge £2,500–£4,000?
Most UK small business websites cost somewhere around £2,500–£4,000 from an agency, and we are not going to inflate that figure to make £799.99 look more dramatic than it is. The difference is overhead and scope: an agency price covers project managers, account managers and a sales team, and usually an open-ended brief. mybitness is one person working to a fixed six-page scope. That is genuinely cheaper to deliver — and where your project needs more than the fixed scope, we will say so rather than squeeze it in.
